Interested in health communication, health inequities and interprofessional experiences? Then join one of the info sessions to learn more about our 4-week Summer 2024 Study Abroad program: Health communication & health inequities across the health professions in the U.S. and Puerto Rico!
Building off the success of the past two years in Greece, Rutgers School of Communication & Information and Rutgers School of Health Professions are now taking this course to San Juan, Puerto Rico to explore topics related to health communication and health inequities faced among marginalized Puerto Rican communities that have been impacted by climate change, weather-related disasters, colonialism and other structural issues. They will be partnering with the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Public Health to discuss these topics in an interdisciplinary setting and work in teams to identify public health challenges in local communities and develop proposals for how to solve them.
This course is offered for 3-credits at the graduate level; interested undergraduate juniors or seniors in the Health and Wellness track may be eligible to participate for credit as well.
(Any other interested students may attend the info session or reach out to the program directors for more information.)
