Puerto Rican New Yorkers: Workers, Unions and Politics in the Struggle for a Better Life, 1910s-1960s

cigar worker org heroProf. Lauria Santiago recently launched a massive 50-page blog with documents on the history of Puerto Rican migrants and their descendants in New York City.  The blog, hosted at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies, focuses on different aspects of the class, work and political experience of Puerto Ricans between 1910s and the 1970s.  The work is loosely based on a forthcoming volume with the University of North Carolina Press an a second volume still in progress.
